LEFT BEHIND
Derek and I made an installation for the Theatre's big windows facing 7th Avenue. We carefully selected amongst the boards that we use to paint scenery on. Derek then came up with the idea of also using the sawhorses. He also built the frame, which is steel on one side, and traditional wood flat on the other side. He also came up with the name, 'left behind', which is what happens to the not so religious people after God makes his choices. We added a paintshoe, apron, brush and a roller, to play on that notion, as if the scenic artist had gotten away.
